Specialist preparation for direct degree entry

The International Study Centre (ISC) is located on the University of Sussex campus and it offers international students who do not meet direct academic entry requirements, specialist preparation for both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. The International Foundation Year, the International Diploma in Business and Management and Pre-Masters programme are delivered by the ISC.

Lessons are taught on campus at the Mantell building and in other University lecture halls and all accommodation is on campus as well. You will be part of the University from the day you start your course.

Joining the International Study Centre guarantees that you will receive a conditional offer of a degree place at the University. Once you have successfully completed your preparation course and have met the required entry standards, you will proceed directly to your preferred degree programme.

A comprehensive range of academic facilities and support services at the University are available ISC students. You will also have automatic membership of the Students’ Union which runs over 115 societies and 38 sports clubs.

Students are taught by specialists in university preparation. Progress is monitored at all times to make sure students remain on track to successful completion of the programme. Students also benefit from regular assessment through examination and marked coursework.

Students have a Link Tutor, who is also a lecturer at Susse. Link tutors help students understand degree choices and answer anyquestions about studying on a University programme. The Link Tutor system broadens your knowledge of what Sussex offers and allows you to engage with University faculty.

The programmes at the International Study Centre are delivered by Study Group, working in partnership with the University of Sussex.
